Industrial System - Vehicle Interior - User Experience
Sponsored by GM Human-Machine Interaction (HMI) Lab, the project started with the objective of designing a novel user interface for interactive windshields on semi-autonomous delivery vehicles. However, by analyzing the posts on company forums, interviewing UPS delivery vehicle drivers, and talking to CTO and the logistics department of UPS, our team decided to focus, instead, on how to decrease delivery time and improve delivery drivers’ experience.
My role was to mediate during team meetings, conduct interviews, generate digital sketches in Sketchbook Pro to collect feedback, help redesign and build the interior layout of delivery vehicles in Autodesk Fusion 360, and build the 1-to-12 scale truck model.
