Medical Device Storage - Interior Layout - User Interactions
In partnership with Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta (CHOA), my friends from Singapore, Matthew Soon and Ryan Chin, and I designed a storage system for respiratory equipment for the new hospital building to increase spacial efficiency and improve the experience of respiratory therapist (RT) and equipment specialists (EQS).
My role was to carry out ethnographic studies, lead brainstorming sessions, conduct technical and specification research on respiratory equipment, contact our client to gather feedback, design user journey and experience, and build scaled physical prototypes.

It is difficult for one to move comfortably within the storage space when all the ventilators are sprawled out like that, let alone identify them with ease.

The sprawling and random parking of ventilators within the storage space not only makes them hard to identify, it also makes them hard to move out.
