Medical Device - Clinical Mentoring - Product Design
Mentored by Dr. Jessica B. Spencer from Emory Hospital Midtown, the team identified that current egg retrieval process during in-vitro fertilization was inefficient and stressful to patients. A dual pedal system was conceived to incorporate the flushing process to provide OBGYNs with more control and reduce labor cost. Input controls and output connectors were also color-coded accordingly to improve user experience.
My role was to conduct on-site observations, lead and mediate during team meetings, design the appearance and assembly of the product in SolidWorks, and build functional physical prototype.
